REVIEW: more of us than them by stick to your guns

On September 16th Stick to Your Guns started the steady stream of teasing us in preparation for their newest single, More of Us Than Them. The song starts off with a chanting chorus which I believe sets the tone for the song very much, and with each line repeating it grows into the welcoming of the rest of the band. Another song that will be guaranteed a big fan favorite when the band chooses to set out on tour, it’s a perfect song to get a ton of crowd interaction with the inclusion of chanting, crowd surfing, and a mosh pit with even maybe a possibility of a wall of death at the breakdown. This single has also reached out to many fans and touched with the meaning behind the song being about people trying to claim our lives and never caring about anyone’s best interest and having control of their own, then Sam Handles had made a post on Instagram stating that Tom Searle, the former and passed away vocalist for Architects had sent him the breakdown in the song and stated that it was, “too STYG for Architects.” Being a fan of Architects myself and knowing that the impact of Tom’s departure affected many people, it was nice to see this form or representation of his memory. For any and all hardcore fan it’s a definite listen and gives us some insight on what to expect next from the band.
