SHOW REVIEW: memphis may fire - salt lake city, ut

Following the release of their latest album, Remade In Misery. Memphis May Fire is currently out on their Remade In Misery tour with support from; Wolves At The Gate, Cemetery Sun, and Rain City Drive. Seeing Memphis May Fire after all these years had felt like a major throwback to Vans Warped Tour days. The first half of their setlist was tons of songs from their latest album which fans were raving about. The last half of their setlist consisted of their older songs from older albums such as; Miles Away, No Ordinary Love, Vices, and The Sinner. Just before starting Miles Away vocalist, Matty Mullins had taken a small break and gave a dedication to fans, “Who in this room has served our country in the military? I want to thank you all for your service, this next one is about having to leave your loved ones. I know it isn’t an easy thing to do and it never gets easier but stay strong.” Once the last half of their set kicked in with the older songs being transferred back to the older days with Memphis, throughout the whole set people were moshing, crowd surfing, and screaming lyrics at the top of their lungs. I haven’t had the chance to listen to any of the new songs since the release, hearing play the new tracks at the concert was my first time getting the opportunity to but after that night it is safe to say that it is a definite must listen to.
