Need some new music to listen to as the week comes to a close? We got you covered. First up, another amazing single release from the boys of State Champs. Outta My Head comes in strong full of energy, angst, and a catchy chorus, the true roots of pop punk which State Champs has non-stop delivered since day one. Listening to the song will definitely give you a little reminiscing moment of the early 2000’s in the scene with black eyeliner, cut off t-shirts and bracelets lined down your forearm. It’s going to be a crowd favorite once the band embarks on their Pure Noise headlining tour, it’s a must listen before you catch them live so you can be singing the chorus right back.
Now, I don’t know about you guys but ever since the album release of Invent Animate in 2020 I’ve been wanting more! The band announced Thursday the exciting news of them signing onto a new label being UNFD and the release of their upcoming EP; The Sun Sleeps, As If It Never Was which will be coming out September 23rd. With this announcement they released the opening track of the EP as their latest single, The Sun Sleeps. The beginning definitely gives you chills, and I think sets a big tone for the song, it steadily builds to a ton of energy and we get the pleasure of a good breakdown towards the end. If the killer riffs don’t give you the chills then vocalist, Marcus Vik will help with that impact both sound and lyrically, the band wrote that lyrically on this EP will focus a lot on addiction with those who have suffered and been impacted. It will without a doubt be a heavy one, we won’t be disappointed. If you haven’t listened to them yet, the time is now as the countdown begins to the EP release.
Lastly, Bullet for My Valentine is set to release their seventh studio at the end of October! They’ve released two singles so far being Parasite and Knives, we got a third one just yesterday, Shatter. It is a certified banger and it was easy to determine that from the beginning seconds of the song. It’s filled with absolute killer guitar riffs and filthy cutting vocals, mark your calendars and get to streaming these songs on full blast! It was definitely a good week for music and enough singles to get us through till these EP and album releases!
