From the New Jersey based pop-punk band All Systems Go comes a brand new single released on October 8th 2021 called “No One Does Homecoming Like Us”. Their sound has been described as “pop punk, the way you remember it” which is completely fitting because their sound feels heavily influenced by our pop-punk icons Blink-182, Newfound Glory, and Simple Plan.
“No One Does Homecoming Like Us” is another pop-punk anthem to add to your playlist. It’s one of those songs you turn to when you need reassurance in knowing that everyone’s path is very different. Some people stay in the same small town they were born in and find success and happiness there but others need to branch out in order to find the path that works best for them. Like the song says, “there’s really nothing left for me here”. While this song is meant to be set at a ten-year highschool reunion, the idea that people compare themselves to others and where those people are at in life is present in everyday life but the important thing to remember is that they aren’t you. Your life and your journey is unique and it should be different from others. If everyone’s life was supposed to be the exact same, this world would be extremely boring, and I don’t know about you but I like to stand out.
All Systems Go has officially given me another song I can listen to when I need advice from the older brother I never had.
