Give In, a Los Angeles based rock band, released a new single “Flinch” on October 22nd 2021. Their sound is said to combine their post-hardcore tendencies from their youth with a modern rock edge. “Flinch” will be the first single released leading up to their upcoming album.
“Flinch” is a song for those who are fans of bands like Linkin Park, 3 Doors Down, and Seether. The lyrics “It took a while but I finally noticed the bodies inside your closet” and “at least I’m fucking honest” give me the impression that this song is about that one person who just likes knowing that they have some sort of control over you and not actually wanting something real. It’s realizing what kind of person they really are and knowing that you were real with them from the beginning.
Give In is bringing back that early 2000s rock sound but in a different way and I’m curious to see what their upcoming album will bring.
