REVIEW: jobbo by wstr

WSTR, a Liverpool based pop-punk band, is back with a brand new single “JOBBO” that was released on October 22nd 2021. The band has already had quite the journey for those of you that haven’t heard of them yet. They’ve toured alongside some of our favorite bands like Neck Deep, Creeper, and The Offspring. They’ve also played big name festivals like Download Festival and Slam Dunk Festival in the UK.

“JOBBO” is a reminder that you don’t have to be someone you don’t want to be. The lyric “I don’t know what I signed up for, but I know this isn’t it” feels like that moment when you look around after months of just going through the motions to survive and realizing that it isn’t at all how you want to be living. People will always tell you how to live and what you should be doing, but fuck that. Life is too short to live your life for other people or doing things you don’t want to be doing. Like the song says, “Don’t be something that you’re not” and live your life the way that makes you the most fulfilled.

With their re-entry into the scene after releasing “All The Rage” and now releasing “JOBBO”, I think we can expect to see WSTR come into their own sound very soon as they take their music careers into their own hands.
