If you’re in the mood for a new alternative rock song with catchy vocal lines and driving grooves, look no further as the Westchester, New York-based band Back 2 Zero is back with “World We Live In”. This song focuses on the realizations they had about the state of the world and the media during the pandemic, and how they’ve had enough of this division about every topic possible. I’m sure we can all relate as we all have had these same realizations too; we look at what’s happening in the world and everyone is frustrated with how we’re all being taken advantage of and lied to by everyone in power for the benefit of themselves. It’s always one side or the other which enables us to fall in line and not think for ourselves and how we truly believe. Along with this message being presented, something that I admire musically is when a song can keep your head nodding/banging at the same tempo throughout the whole song with it’s guitar riffs and punchy drums. Overall, the song delivers its message in a solid manner and will have you humming along after one listen. Be on the lookout for their new EP “One Way Or Another” coming this fall featuring this first single.
