REVIEW: nameless, as of yet by no one

No One consists of solo singer-songwriter Jim Vest out of Southeast Ohio, and his newest song ‘Nameless, As Of Yet’ takes on topics of mental illness, but more specifically about BPD or Borderline Personality Disorder. Sonically, it’s a soft vibe with layered clean electric guitars and bass mixed in with haunting but raw vocals. You can hear the emotion as he repeats the line, “it might just be the only truth I’ve ever told you” throughout the song, which signals to me that the disorder is making the main character fight themselves as they are not sure what is true at this point. The back and forth struggle grows as questions are yelled out with no answers for any of them, and it shows that their struggle not only affects them, but also the ones closest to them in life. It was an interesting topic to go through as I personally don’t know much about BPD, so I’m interested to see what else No One comes out with next.
